New to CrossFit?
Does the workout listed on the website look impossible to complete? We’ve all been there and understand your concern. All new members of CrossFit Spanish Fort will be taught how to complete movements required for a workout and will then be evaluated on their ability to safely perform those movements. In order to make your transformation into a CrossFit athlete easier, we ask that you attend our “On Ramp/Beginners Program”.
The classes will be one hour in length and held on Wednesday at 6:30pm and Saturday at 9:00 AM. The program is designed to introduce you to the foundational movements that you will perform in our open workouts and to do so in a way that won’t overwhelm you. The classes will generally follow this format:
1. Warm up – completed together as a group
2. Introduce one or two new movements then complete a work out that uses the movements learned during that class.
3. Cool down
Despite what you may have heard in the past we are not just for elite athletes (we just make them), and no, you don’t need to be “in shape” before you try us out. All of our Workouts can be scaled down based on an individual athlete and his/her needs.
